September 25, 2025 1:00pm and 6:00pm at the Talbot County Free Library

Blake Funston is a noted interior designer and Goldsborough family historian. A descendant of the Goldsborough branches of Myrtle Grove and Pleasant Valley Plantations, Funston has conducted primary research from Yorkshire, England to Maryland’s Eastern Shore since 2001. Funston graduated with a BA in Art History from Wheaton College, and achieved a Master’s in European decorative arts in London. In 2017, Funston’s Goldsborough research was cited by the Philadelphia Museum of Art publication, The Art of the Peales: Adaptations and Innovations. In 2023 Funston’s interiors were published by House Beautiful Magazine. He continues to liaise with auction houses and museums alike for Goldsborough attributions and historical accuracy. Funston currently resides in New York City with his partner, a Chinese Art specialist at Christie’s Auction House.
