Now in its second year, the Trappe Summer Youth Program will take place from June 21to August 9. The program’s mission is to provide youth ages 14 to 17 with supervised work, educational, recreational and charitable experiences. Program goals are to teach good work skills, provide positive role models, promote community awareness, and to keep youth active during the summer months!

Participants are paid and are covered by workers compensation insurance. Crews work Monday through Thursday from 8am to 12pm on projects to include yard work, painting, clean-outs, and other small jobs around town for both individuals and local business. On Fridays the program will sponsor field trips to a variety of recreational and educational locations across the region.

Individuals and businesses pay for these services; however one of the program’s goals is to provide services to the elderly and disabled at little or no cost. Donations of money, time, and materials are welcomed and needed.

The program still has limited availability to schedule projects. For more information, contact David Lee at 410-310-6360 or [email protected].
