Unitarian Universalists of the Chester River Hold Auction March 2

February 20, 2024 by Spy Desk

Share

Our 2024 auction fundraiser will be held at UUCR on Saturday, March 2, starting at 6 p.m. Please join us for a delightful evening, including beverages, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts, as we raise some “fun” as well as “funds” to help us maintain our work in this beloved community. The event is free of charge and open to everyone.

Our auction evening is actually two auctions — a silent auction, which commences at 6 p.m., for special objects donated to us, including a named Hegland Glass piece, David Winter cottages, an antique quilt, camping equipment, a portable outdoor stove, pottery, prints, posters, — even a small chain saw!

Our live auction will start at 7 p.m.  Items on auction include: dinners (Italian, Crab and Veggies, Oktoberfest); meals delivered to your door (bean soup, chili); parties (bats, beverages and bonfires, cocktails, scrabble, bourbon-tasting, tea and sandwiches, painting with a local artist, building temporal art on the beach); excursions (Christiana Mall, Baltimore Museum of Art); services (garden consultation, genealogical research, tennis lesson; Reiki sessions); and other special times, including being a Riverkeeper for a Day, sitting in on a practice session with a local band, and/or enjoying a pass to all 2024 National Music Festival events in Chestertown.

Our latest catalog with fuller descriptions is attached.

If you would like to make a donation yourself, please do so before Sunday, February 25, by contacting Jane Hardy at [email protected].

Can’t come to the auction, but see something you’d like to bid on? We can provide a proxy bidder for you! Contact Jane Hardy at [email protected].

Don’t miss this terrific evening!

I hope to see you on March 2.
