Volunteers Are Needed for Library’s “Everyday English” Program

February 23, 2016 by Talbot County Free Library

Share

Volunteers are needed to help with the library’s new “Everyday English Conversations” program, which offers individuals who grew up speaking another language the chance to get together with a small group of people in a friendly, relaxed setting and speak English.  Even people who have lived in America a long time often have little opportunity to practice their English.  This is your chance to help them.  Neither a teaching background nor knowledge of a second language is required to volunteer.  If you are a native English-speaker, you are already an expert!  This is your chance to help people who want to more fully participate in the everyday world of our community.
