The Lever and Rail, comprised of LA based songstress Lael Neale and veteran road dog Trevor Garrod, best known as the principal singer/songwriter for Tea Leaf Green, perform Tuesday, November 1 at the NightCat in Easton. These two habitually homeless singers
have been crossing paths and untying tunes for years. With his experience matching her prodigal vitality, they float somewhere between folk and rocks and feathers. The haunting combination of their voices conjures forlorn yearnings of a past that never was and a future found at the song’s end.
After the release of his debut solo effort, Miss Fortune, critics hailed Garrod as the contemporary answer to Randy Newman and a peer to modern troubadours like Rufus Wainwright and Josh Rouse. Deemed one of America’s 21st century songwriters “ready to be seen and heard” by Jim Fusilli of the Wall Street Journal, Trevor Garrod has established himself as one of the most talented emerging singer/songwriters in the business.
