Last Tuesday’s Talbot County Council meeting had two particularly interesting presentations on its agenda. The first was the next fiscal year budget draft, which the Spy will summarize in the next few days.
The other topic was a review of the current status of the Historical Society of Talbot County. While most of the news highlighted by the Historical Society’s president Larry Denton was good, including plans for a new museum dedicated to Talbot County history, the Society’s Treasurer, Art Cecil, reminded the Council of the extraordinary challenges that organization faces with projected capital expenses. These were followed by Council member comments.
