Webb Airport c.1940, at the northeast corner of Kingston Road and Black Dog Alley. Webb Airport was built in 1930 by Dorsey Webb on his farm. It replaced Talbot’s first airfield at Ratcliffe Manor. Webb Airport had 3 grass runways and fires in clay pots for nighttime landing. This Airport was closed during World War II. The present Easton Airport was built in 1942 and was Talbot Co.’s airport from then on. Facts: “Star Democrat” article 10/17/02.
