So sad the amazing Wye Oak tree in Wye Mills, Md was felled during a thunderstorm on June 6, 2002! It was believed to be over 460 years old on that day! It measured 31 feet 10 inches in circumference of the trunk at 4 feet up, 96 feet high and the crown spread was 119 feet! Do you have any special memories of the Wye Oak? Facts: Maryland.gov website.
