Latin Grammy Award-winning music duo 123 Andrés are coming to both Talbot County Free Library branches on Friday, August 4 starting their tour at the Easton Library at 11:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the St. Michaels Branch.

The Summer Reading Program event is free and open to the public. The Program funded in part by Talbot Arts with revenues provided by the Maryland State Arts Council and the governments of Talbot County, Easton, Oxford, and St. Michaels.

“The Talbot County Free Library is very excited to have the musical duo come in for not only one show, but two,” said Talbot County Free Library Assistant Director Scotti Oliver. “We hope the families that come in have the opportunity to sing, dance, and enjoy this bilingual event.”

The husband-wife team, Andrés Salguero and Christina Sanabria, are well known for creating music, books and live shows in Spanish and English for children and families. Their songs and videos are used in early childhood and elementary classrooms around the world.Salguero grew up in Bogotá, Colombia, and learned how to play the guitar from his father as a child. He went on to earn a Doctorate in music and won first prize in the National Composition Contest in Colombia for one of his early songs.

Sanabria was raised in the US, in a Spanish-speaking family from Colombia, and studied theater and dance as a child. After serving as a public school teacher and earning a Master’s in Education from Penn, she found her passion teaching through music.
