The 42nd annual Waterfowl Festival attracted large crowds over the weekend, reporting some 18,000 visitors to its various venues around Easton. Warm and sunny weather brought out lots of families and contributed to the event’s success, which includes one of the country’s premiere wildlife art shows. World championship goose callers attracted much interest, as did Dock Dog events at Idlewild Park. Food vendors offered a range of Shore favorites.
According to Festival Communications Director Megan Miller, over 300 exhibitors participated in this year’s event, some coming as far as Canada and the west coast of the US. The event typically has a 6 million dollar impact on the local community.
