Talbot County Public Schools (TCPS) held the first annual Educational Partnership Recognition Breakfast on Thursday May 19. Businesses and individuals that have made significant contributions to TCPS schools and students were celebrated. Each of the nine Talbot County Public Schools awarded an Educational Partner of the Year (listed below).
The first Educational Partnership Annual Report was distributed at the event. The publication lists over 500 organizations, businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, civic clubs, and faith-based groups that contributed to Talbot County Public Schools during the 2015-16 school year.
TCPS realizes the positive impact community involvement has for students and staff. It is a key component in continued growth and improvement of our school system. Businesses and organizations understand that excellence in our schools is essential to Talbot County’s vitality and economic prosperity and their support helps to ensure that Talbot County is an attractive place to live
Dr. Kelly Griffith, Superintendent of Schools, stated “We have been overwhelmed by the generosity and commitment to our school system from the Talbot community. It is an exciting time and together we will take our school system from good to great.”
