The Spy has learned that Joshua Cherry from Boy Scout Troop 532 in Easton recently was able to celebrate his Eagle Award ceremony. He earned it back in January 2020 but had to cancel his ceremony previously scheduled in March. Josh was the first to earn his Eagle for the 2020 year for Scouts on the Shore and the first to be able to celebrate his ceremony for 2020 Scouts.
His projects for his hometown of Trappe consisted of cleaning and refurbishing Nace’s Park, securing 2 vehicle access points off Route 50, building 2 bat boxes for the town water maintenance area located next to the ballparks to control insects, building a community message board located at Veterans Park and building a Blessings Box food pantry located at Trappe Fire Company. His Blessings Box was featured on WBOC Channel 16 News back in January.
Joshua is the son of David and Karla Wieland-Cherry.
