9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance Ceremony Gallery

Talbot County Government held a special ceremony to honor and remember the heroic acts of bravery and sacrifice that emerged on September 11, 2001. The ceremony took place on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, beginning promptly at 8:30 a.m. at the corner of West and Dover Streets in Easton, Maryland and involved members of the community.

Talbot County Council President Chuck Callahan provides opening remarks during the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance event located in Easton, MD.

Ta’Vea Roberts, student at Easton High School, sings “America the Beautiful” behind the memorial wreath.

 

Talbot County Council Vice President Pete Lesher provides the keynote speech during the ceremony, connecting the local response to the War of 1812 and 9/11, reminding the community that we are “one community” despite our differences.

 

Thalia Turner, student at St. Michaels Middle-High School sings “Star Spangled Banner”.
