Snarky Puppy arrives at the Avalon Theater on Monday, August 20, with proceeds to benefit Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy.
This jazz/funk band from Brooklyn, NY, has gone from an underground secret to one of the most internationally acclaimed names in instrumental music. The band features a collective of nearly 30 musicians referred to as “The Farm,” with any combination of at least 10 members appearing on their concert tours around the world.
The Chicago Jam Scene says it best, “Their sound is entirely unclassifiable, yet always seems to strike some chord within. It’s part jazz, part funk, part rock, part jam… It will make your brain churn and your booty shake…”
All proceeds benefit the important conservation work of the Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy. MRC is a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration and protection of the Choptank River, Eastern Bay, and the Miles and Wye Rivers. The organization serves as an advocate for the health of these tributaries and the living resources they support.
