This Laird Wise Collection photo at the Talbot Historical Society is labeled Easton High School recreation! If you’re from Easton do you remember the Easton High School dances? Or you probably have memories of dances like this wherever you grew up! This appears to be the Idlewild Easton High School Gym. If so it can be dated between 1948, when Laird Wise left his art career in New York City and moved back home to Trappe and 1954 when the new Easton High School opened on Oxford Road.

Do you recognize anyone at this dance?? Maybe a grandparent?? Contact: Cathy Hill [email protected] to share your old photos. Comment, Like our page and join THS!
