Shore Behavioral Health (SBH) was honored on November 29 by its partner organization, Horizon Health, LLC, at an open house hosted by both entities. Horizon Health specializes in helping hospitals better serve patients by establishing safe, effective and financially stable psychiatric programs, managed to the highest standards of accountability.
John Mistrangelo, program administrator for SBH, welcomed the guests and noted that the occasion celebrated the final “full staffing” of SBH now that there are total of six providers, including Dr. Anderson, four staff psychiatrists (Manjula Borge, MD, Archana Leon-Guerrero, MD, Saeed Salehinia, MD and Justin Wade, MD) and one nurse practitioner (Jill Burgholzer, CRNP).
Melissa Budzinski, vice president, Clinical Services for Horizon Health, presented a plaque to Mistrangelo and Jacki Crawford, SBH nurse manager, commending them for the excellent, innovative programming developed in the last few years. The plaque commemorates SBH’s selection as a one of five finalists for Horizon Health’s annual award for clinical excellence.
Corlette Fezzia, Horizon Health’s vice president, Operations, made a special presentation to Dr. Anderson for his outstanding leadership of SBH and the growth of its programs. The presentation included gifts – a humidor and a box of Dr. Anderson’s favorite cigars.
Ruth Ann Jones, UM Shore Regional Health’s chief nursing officer and vice president, Patient Care Services, spoke briefly to those assembled, crediting Shore Behavioral Health’s strong multi-disciplinary team for the much deserved recognition given by Horizon Health.
