Rural Life by Beth Wright

What do boats, birds, trees, marshes, snow, people, pets and oysters have in common? They are all subjects of watercolor paintings on exhibit October 6-30 at the A.M. Gravely Gallery in St. Michaels. They are all also painted by members of the Chestnut Street Studio, where Barbara Jablin, an award-winning, lifelong artist, inspires and instructs them in the art of watercolor.

The artists, many of them award-winners themselves, include Pat Alberico, Peggy Decker, Ann DeMart, Pat Hanlon, Barbara Jablin, Ruth McCarthy, Jo Merrill, Dave Murphy, Nancy O’Brien, Peg Papa, Jan Perdue, Virginia Perram, Valerie Sunderland, Judy Wolgast, Camille Woodbury, and Beth Wright. Both framed and unframed works are for sale. The public is invited to a reception Saturday, October 14 from 5-7 pm.

The A.M. Gravely Gallery, at 408 S. Talbot Street in St. Michaels, Md., is open Friday-Saturday 10 am-6 pm; Sunday-Monday 10 am-3 pm. For more information, call 410-745-5059 or visit https://www.amgravelygallery.com.
