On May 19, 2018, CASA of the Mid-Shore will hold its annual fundraiser at the historic Shipshead Farm in Easton. Dubbed a Spring Soirée, this festive party will highlight French traditions celebrating the arrival of Spring. Reservations must be made by May 7th.
Elegant evening gatherings in France are known as “soirées.” Fancy attire, fresh seasonal food, and beautiful surroundings help create these festive events. CASA’s Spring Soirée will do the same with the help of local vendors including Gourmet by the Bay, Eastern Shore Tents & Events, On Your Mark Lighting, and Sherwood Florist. A clear-top tent with vintage seating, abundant florals, and crystal chandeliers will compliment champagne bars, artisan cheese, authentic pates, beignets, crepes, salad nicoise, ratatouille, and croques monsieurs
“Shipshead Farm is the perfect venue for our Soirée” states Robin Davenport, CASA Mid-Shore’s Executive Director. “The beautiful manor home, with its surrounding gardens and grounds, is the quintessential backdrop for an elegant garden party. In addition to the gourmet cuisine, guests will enjoy dancing to live music by Prime Time, or they may choose to have fun with some leisurely lawn games!” Adding her special spark to the evening, Sherry Truhlar of Red Apple Auctions will be on hand to facilitate an exciting “Fund A Need” program.
The Spring Soirée will raise funds to support CASA’s work with children who are under court protection in Talbot, Dorchester, Queen Anne’s, and Kent Counties due to abuse, neglect, abandonment, or their parents’ inability to safely care for them. To help cover costs, the committee has secured sponsorships from generous supporters and local businesses.
To make reservations ($150/person) or for sponsorship information, visit www.casamidshore.org or call Kay Lister at 410-822-2866, ext. 3.There will be plenty of seating for all, and reserved tables are available through $5,000+ sponsorships.
