The Academy Art Museum is opening its annual Mid-Shore Student Art Exhibitions for artwork from students in grades K through 12 on Saturday, March 14. An opening reception for students in grades K through 8 will be held on March 17, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. with door prizes given out at 5 p.m. The opening reception for students in grades 9 through 12 will be held on Thursday, March 19, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. with awards presented at 6 p.m. The exhibition will be open through April 5, 2015.
These exhibitions highlight the artistic talents of students in grades K through 12 in Talbot, Caroline, Dorchester, and Queen Anne’s counties. As in past years, visitors can expect a variety of media, including painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and printmaking. The Mid-Shore Student Art Exhibitions have been a Museum tradition for over 24 years and are the largest and most prestigious student art exhibitions on the Eastern Shore.
