The Tidewater Camera Club will begin the new Speaker Series season with a presentation entitled “Beyond the Garden Gate” by professional photographer, Josh Taylor, Jr. who has presented photography workshops at the Smithsonian National Orchid Show,
U.S. National Arboretum, U.S. Botanic Garden, Brookside Gardens, Sarah P. Duke Gardens, American Horticultural Society Garden School, Adkins Arboretum, and Longwood Gardens in addition to teaching in the Smithsonian Studio Arts Program and being a Canon Camera instructor at Ace Photo.
Josh was voted best garden club speaker in 2005 and was a judge for the 2009 Garden Writers Association National Media Awards and the 2010 Mid-Atlantic Nature Photography Expo.
On Monday, Sept. 12, from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m., at the Academy Art Museum in Easton, take a walk in the garden with Taylor and learn photographic techniques that will lift flower and garden photographs to a higher level. This presentation will inspire photographers to see and create striking photographs using both in-camera and software enhancement techniques.
