Dr. Fran White has scheduled a book signing of, “Family Secrets: A Journey of Good and Evil,” from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22 at News Center.
The book is an autobiographical/fictional novel that describes the emotional trauma of childhood abandonment and the pain of family secrets. Family Secrets also describes the pain of racism and how that affected White’s life.
White is donating all of the proceeds for the book signing to Saints Peter and Paul church in Easton.
An Easton-based psychologist who has practiced for more than 30 years, White wrote the book hoping to change racist perceptions and behaviors, “one book at a time, one soul at a time.”
White has given several presentations on racism, including talks at William Hill Manor and Talbot Senior Center, and for the Academy of Life Long Learning. White also wrote regular columns for the Star Democrat for 12 years.
More information about White and her book is available online at www.familysecrets.tateauthor.com. White’s blog is online at whatsyourfeeling.wordpress.com.
White also has written Nicki Nice’s Bully, a series of children’s books about bullying, with a release date in the upcoming months.
