The Board of Directors of the Waterfowl Festival is thrilled to announce the continued commitment of the Avon-Dixon Insurance Agency as a 2013 Festival Corporate Partner. The organization’s $10,000 sponsorship will help underwrite the costs of supporting the Festival and ensure that the maximum amount of event proceeds are directed to waterfowl conservation projects throughout the Chesapeake Bay region.
“We are grateful for Avon-Dixon’s continued support of the Festival,” said Ron Flohr, Waterfowl Festival Board President. “Our Corporate Partners are instrumental in the success of this annual event and we rely on their commitment to help us achieve our conservation mission.”
Avon-Dixon will also host the popular Sporting Arms Exhibit for its second year at their North Harrison Street location. The exhibit showcases the hunting culture of the Shore and will again feature antique and contemporary sporting arms, decoys, art and other memorabilia. The exhibit will be open Friday – Sunday of the Festival weekend.
“We are excited to partner again with the Waterfowl Festival to support its conservation work and also pay homage to the unique sporting and hunting traditions of our region,” comments Rich Trippe, President and CEO of the Avon-Dixon Insurance Agency. “Our team looks forward to welcoming the community to our location and continuing to develop our exhibit and enhance the downtown presence of the Festival.”
“Since its beginning the Festival has been a marriage of the sporting life and conservation, and this partnership is a continuation of that tradition,” shared Flohr.
The Waterfowl Festival is still seeking Corporate Partners for the 2013 event. The Corporate Partner Program offers levels of support ranging from $1,500 to $20,000. In appreciation, the Festival extends recognition, promotional and entertainment benefits that vary depending upon the level of support. Partnering with the Festival is an excellent opportunity for businesses to meet their goals for community involvement by supporting an event that attracts nearly 20,000 attendees from the Mid-Atlantic region and produces an annual economic impact of $6 million to the community. To become a Festival Corporate Partner, businesses are encouraged to contact Martha Kendall, Director of Development at [email protected] or 410-822-4567.
