Easton Little League has announced three registration dates for the 2016 baseball and softball season. Registrations will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, January 16; Saturday, January 23 from noon until 3 p.m. and Saturday, January 30 from 9 a.m. to noon. Registrations will be held at the First Baptist Church, located at 115 Idlewild Avenue in Easton.
Registrants for T-Ball, AA Boys and 7-8 year old Girls’ Softball will pay $50, while those in upper-level divisions – AAA, Little League Boys, 9-10 and 11-12 Girls Softball, Junior League and Senior League – will pay $75. There is a “large family cap” of $175. Players registering after February 12 will be assessed a $25 late fee. Families who request financial aid will be required to verify their income by providing, for highly confidential review, their most recent federal income tax return at the time of registration.
For returning players, personalized registration and medical forms will be pre-printed at registration, ready to be confirmed or updated. For families who did not participate last year in Easton Little League, registration and medical forms will be available at player registrations. New registrants will be required to present three proofs of residency such as vehicle registration, driver’s license, utility bill, etc Additional information about proof of residency and financial assistance – as well as downloadable forms – are available online at www.eastonll.com.
Little League International’s residency requirement, as adopted last year, allows players who reside outside of Easton Little League’s boundaries to register for League play if the school they attend is within those boundaries. To verify enrollment, parents will need to produce an official school enrollment form, signed by a school administrator, which confirms enrollment prior to October 1, 2015.
