Come thirsty for the Belgian Beer Festival on Saturday, November 10, in downtown Cambridge, Maryland, from 1-6pm. Organized by the High Spot Gastropub, the festival will feature Belgian and Belgian-inspired brews from New Belgium Brewing, Brewery Ommegang, Evolution Craft Brewing, Flying Dog Brewery, Heavy Seas Brewery, Burley Oak Brewing, Dogfish Head Brewery, and National Premium, plus about 10 beers from Belgian breweries. There will also be Belgian-inspired food prepared by local restaurants and live music by the local band Blackwater.
“We had such a blast at the first beer festival we organized in May that we decided to do it again with a focus on Belgian and Belgian-inspiredbeers,” said Chef Patrick Fanning of the High Spot.
Tickets cost $20 if you plan to drink (includes a souvenir tasting glass and tastes of six brews); $10 if you aren’t drinking. Buy tickets in advance at the High Spot, 305 High Street, or call 410.228.7420. Tickets will also be available the day of the event. That evening is also Second Saturday in downtown Cambridge, 5-9pm, when shops stay open late and art galleries host free receptions.
