One of our favorite regional pop/rock bands, Naked Blue, will be performing Friday night at the NightCat. This Spy has known Jen Smith for ages, back when she used to perform at Andy’s in Chestertown as a duo with Angie Miller. (She was Jen Ferguson back then, and they called themselves Two Skirts). This will be a full band show, Jen, husband Scott on guitar, with bass and drums.
Keeping in the music vein, Robbie Schaefer, guitarist and lead vocalist for the folk/rock band Eddie From Ohio, also an accomplished songwriter of children’s music and the Music Director at XMKiDS for XM Satellite Radio. He’s performing a matinee show of tunes from his acclaimed CD, Songs for Kids Like Us at the Avalon Saturday morning. Along with their fun and silly style, Robbie’s thoughtful and well-written songs help introduce young children ages 3 and up to the fundamentals of music.
