Best Bets This Week

Here are a few suggestions for you and your guests this weekend, (in case you really need to get them out of the house for a few hours.) Luckily the rain should be leaving us Wednesday afternoon, so you won’t have to put up with piles of wet macs.

(Not) just for kids- Magician Mike Rose will perform Friday afternoon at the St Michaels branch of the Talbot Library. This is a popular event- so best to call ahead for tickets, (they are free), info below.

La Trappe Creek Farm

Saturday, (and Sunday), is the not-to-be missed Festival of Trees House Tour, including the fabulously renovated Georgian style La Trappe Creek Farm, a Victorian B&B  and  a California style bungalow with a Zen art gallery.

If you’re a fan of old time/new grass bands with great picking as well as songwriting,  we highly recommend the Steel Wheels band, playing two shows at the NightCat on Saturday night. You might want to get tickets early, as the room is small and could well sell out.

Friday, November 25 – 2:00 pm: Magician Mike Rose at St. Michaels Branch of the Talbot County Free Library. For more information on Mike Rose’s show, call the library at 410-745-5877 or visit www.tcfl.org.

Saturday, November 26 and Sunday November 2 – 10 am to 4pm: Festival of Trees House Tour Tickets  may be purchased by calling 410-819-FEST, or by visiting the website at https://talbothospice.org/festival-of-trees/Advanced ticket costs are $30 per person if purchased and received by Nov. 23rd, and $35 per person on the day of the door of the Tidewater Inn’s Gold Room, in Easton. All proceeds benefit the Talbot Hospice

Magician Mike Rose

Foundation.

Steel Wheels

Saturday, November 26 –  7:30 and 9:30 pm: Steel Wheels at NightCat Cafe The Steel Wheels are truly an Americana band, rooted in musical styles that explore the territories between blues and bluegrass, old-time sing-alongs and foot-stompin’ fiddle tunes.   video Recommended if you like:  Old Crow Medicine Show, Avett Brothers, Adrienne Young .
Tickets $15    410-690-4544
.
