March 20, 2012 by Kathy Bosin

Share

A new seafood restaurant called “Big Rod” is scheduled to open in mid-April, in the commercial space at Pea Neck Rd. and Rt. 33, most recently occupied by Bella Luna Restaurant. Owner Lorna Greene, St. Michaels High School graudate from 1986, plans to offer traditional Eastern Shore fare, from hard crabs to burgers along with a full seafood menu. Having spent some time in Florida, Greene will bring some Florida and Caribbean influences to the restaurant as well, such as tuna, grouper, mahi and Caribbean salsas.
