Maggie Miller and her business partner Beth Rose of FamilyFrugalFun.com made a large donation of goods to the Lighthouse Shelter in Annapolis. The donation consisted of goods for the shelters pantry and personal care items including over 100 razors and 75 deodorants. According to Miller, “We saw a post on Facebook that they were in need. So, we decided to give them a lot of the items we had collected because the shelter does such great work for the community.”
The amazing thing about their donation of over $2,500 worth of items is that the two women obtained them free. Yes, free. “Our couponing techniques enabled us to get all of the items for nothing. And, we have helped other organizations by doing the same thing. It never ceases to amaze me what you can do with a bunch of coupons.”
As a result of donations like this one to the Lighthouse Shelter, FamilyFrugalFun.com has started a new program call “Couponing for Your Cause”. The program is designed to help nonprofits and other organizations help those in need by couponing. “We show people that they can do a lot to help others by simply using coupons. It is easy to stretch your funds with the techniques we teach. If your church or organization can raise even a little bit of money, you can turn that money into to a lot more by simply using coupons. It gives you the ability to help others in a bigger way.”
The website, www.FamilyFrugalFun.com, provides information and coupons used for extreme couponing. They can also be found on Twitter and Facebook by searching for Family Frugal Fun.
