The Talbot County Senior Center at Brookletts Place, part of Upper Shore Aging, was recently the gathering place for over 130 residents at its annual Thanksgiving Dinner. Talbot County Council members and Talbot County employees have been serving this meal to local residents since approximately 2014. This year, Talbot Council members Chuck Callahan, Dave Stepp, and Keasha Haythe volunteered to serve the meal, along with Brookletts Place staff, county employees, and several community volunteers.
The Thanksgiving meal was provided by Delmarva Community Services.
“Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the fellowship. Bay Country Chorus provided the music which really added to the festivities,” comments Childlene Brooks, Manager of the Talbot County Senior Center at Brookletts Place.
“We are blessed to be able to offer this meal to our neighbors in Talbot County and were pleased with this year’s amazing turnout.”
