August 25, 2022 by Spy Desk

The Arts Councils of Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s and Talbot Counties announce a call for artists for a special partnership with the University of Maryland Shore Regional Health Medical Center facilities.

Artists 16 and older from each of the four counties are encouraged to apply for a commission to create a 40 in x 60 in (a canvas will be provided) two-dimensional work celebrating the Eastern Shore’s Healthcare Heroes!

To enter, please email three digital samples of your work and a brief statement of interest stating why you want to create a public work of art to celebrate Healthcare Heroes by October 15, 2022 to your county arts council or send to Talbot Arts at [email protected]

Commissions are $1250 per artist (all inclusive). The selected artists’ work will hang in the UMSRH Medical Building in their own county of residence. Final designs subject to review by Medical Center Staff. Funded by each of the four county arts councils and The Hedgelawn Foundation.
