In celebration of the Beatles 50th Anniversary of coming to America, Easton Choral Arts Society is raffling off a set of four limited edition photograph prints of the Fab Four taken in February 1964 while they were practicing for the Ed Sullivan Show at the Deauville in Miami, Florida.
Each of the 11 1/2″ x 17″ prints in this set of four is signed by the photographer, Wallace Clark of the Miami Springs Herald, and includes the location and the print number. Each is number 18 of a very limited edition of 25. Mr. Clark estimated the value of the set of prints at $1,000. They are now in 2″ black wood frames (glass size 19″ x 23″) with double-thick, white, archival matting, bringing their estimated value to at least $2,000, although New York Galleries, who can get them, are now selling selling similar photos for $2,000. each.
Raffle tickets are only $5.00 each, and the drawing will be held on April 6, 2014 at the “Dinner with the Maestro” (winner does not need to be present, but is responsible for picking up the photos). “Dinner with the Maestro” is being held again this year at The Historic Tidewater Inn in Easton, MD. To be present, you can purchase tickets for the dinner ($60.00 inclusive).
The photographs will be on display and raffle tickets on sale at our performances of Carmina Burana, April 5th and 6th. You can also purchase raffle or dinner tickets from ECAS members, by email: [email protected] and by calling 410-820-4165.
