Chesapeake Chamber Music Invites Artists to Submit Works for 2012 Festival Poster

Chesapeake Chamber Music (CCM) invites local artists to submit original artwork for use as the poster image for the 2012 Chesapeake Chamber Music Festival.  The selected artwork will be used on the

Oil painting of Black Walnut Point by Nancy Tankersley of Easton which was featured on Chesapeake Chamber Music’s 2011 Festival poster.

Festival’s publicity materials, including the Festival poster, flyers, print and online advertising, programs and the CCM website. Posters will be placed throughout the Eastern Shore during the spring, especially during the months of May and June preceding the Festival, and the image will be featured in both local and national publications to promote the Festival.  The selected work will be auctioned at the CCM Gala on March 3, 2012. The artist will be compensated for his or her work. The Chesapeake Chamber Music Festival will be held in various Mid-Shore locations from June 3 through June 16, 2012.

Chesapeake Chamber Music is looking for artwork which will promote the Festival, emphasizing the beauty of the Eastern Shore as a setting for beautiful music.  The artwork should be an original, one-of-a-kind piece, created by the hand of the artist.  Artists who are residents of one of the Mid-Shore counties are eligible to submit entries.

The artwork must be submitted for review in the form of a high quality digital photograph by October 31, 2011.  For a complete copy of the competition rules and information on how to submit images please e-mail [email protected], attention Margaret Welch.
