Chesapeake Charities has established a scholarship fund in memory of Jacquelyn (Jacki) Carter.
Ms. Carter retired in 2015 from her position as Director of Character Counts! Queen Anne’s County. Mary Ann Gleason, Grant Specialist for Chesapeake Charities said, “We are inspired by Jacki’s dedication to Character Counts!and the difference she made for the children and families of Queen Anne’s County. She truly made our community a better place to live.”After retiring, Ms. Carter remained very active as a volunteer for several local organizations.
The scholarship fund in her name will support the work of individuals who volunteer their time for the benefit of children and families in Queen Anne’s County and/or for students pursuing higher education.
