Chesapeake College is asking alumni to show their Chesapeake pride with the #PeakeProud outreach campaign this spring. The five-week, five-county tour is part of the college’s 50th anniversary celebration.
“As part of our 50th anniversary, we wanted to reach out to the thousands of people who have taken credit and non-credit classes at Chesapeake,” said Vice President for Institutional Advancement Lucie Hughes. “We’re proud of our students and alumni, and we hope this campaign gives us the opportunity to reconnect with members of the Chesapeake family and showcase our pride.”
With a vehicle provided by Preston Automotive Group, the Office of Institutional Advancement will hit the road to find Chesapeake alums in all corners of the Mid-Shore. Alums will receive a Chesapeake College logo pin and be asked to share their stories. Anyone who has taken a class — credit or noncredit– is considered an alum of Chesapeake College.
Chesapeake kicked off the swing through all five support counties on Monday,April 11 in Caroline County.
Caroline County tour locations are: Choptank Community Health, YMCA of Caroline County in Denton, Choptank Transport in Denton, Caroline County Public Library in Denton, Denton Rotary, Caroline County Public Schools, Shore Health Outpatient and Diagnostics, Harry’s on the Green, and Caroline County Commission’s conference room.
