Chesapeake College will host its annual Eastern Shore College Night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, in the college gym.
Representatives from more than 120 colleges, universities, and technical schools will provide information and answer questions for local high school students and Chesapeake College students planning to transfer. The event is sponsored by Chesapeake College and the public school superintendents from Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne’s, and Talbot counties.
“We’re pleased to be able to offer this opportunity to local high school students as well as our own students,” said Dr. Richard Midcap, Chesapeake’s vice president for student success and enrollment services. “This is a rare opportunity for students to talk to college representatives from a wide range of schools that are diverse geographically and programmatically.”
Colleges from Maine to Florida and as far west as California will be participating in this year’s College Night. Some of the institutions that are scheduled to attend are: Salisbury University, University of Maryland College Park and all its system schools, Virginia Tech, Temple University, East Carolina University, Cornell University, and Cal. Polytechnic State University.
