The Academy Art Museum is also the site of Lectures on the Shore, Chesapeake Forum’s new speaker series launching October 5th. Enjoy notable voices from across the spectrum of art, science and technolog and more, starting with a visit from writer Neil King, author of “American Ramble,” a Walk of Memory and Renewal.”
Learn what you can expect from to hear from Neil and others at the Preview Party. As usual, the event will be catered with light hors d’oeuvres. The “main menu” will feature short video introductions from each of the instructors who will share their vision for their class, what you can expect and a bit about their background. You can decide what interests you.
This Fall, Chesapeake Forum is proud to present more courses than ever before – 36 altogether – ranging from an intimate look at actress Olivia De Havilland’s surprise impact on Hollywood to the Global Economic Outlook from a former World Bank economist plus learn how to brew a great cup of coffee, play Mahjong or just see the sights with a tour of the Delaware Botanical Gardens. It’s all there and more.
Registration for classes starts August 23rd. Chesapeake Forum launches its fall term September 6th with Plato’s Republic, a trip to Poplar Island and a one-session course on how to lower your risk of Alzheimer’s through diet and lifestyle choices.
