Just in time for the holidays! The United Fund of Talbot County has disbursed the first of three distributions to its 2015-16 participating agencies in the amount of $114,750. So far, this year’s campaign appeal has attracted 65% of its $400,000 goal.
“During this season of giving, we are grateful for the many donors who give to the United Fund of Talbot County. With the support of concerned individuals and businesses, our agencies are able to aid the homeless, the hungry, the victims of abuse, citizens with disabilities, low-income families, the elderly, our children and youth,” said Ann Jacobs, United Fund Executive Director. “These gifts will help make it merry and bright for many in our community.”
The 2015-16 UFTC participating agencies are: BAAM, Boy Scouts in Talbot County, CASA of the Mid-Shore, Character Counts!, Chesapeake Multicultural Resource Center, Delmarva Community Services, For All Seasons, Girl Scouts of Talbot County; Imagination Library of Talbot County, Mid-Shore Council on Family Violence, Mid-Shore Pro Bono, Neighborhood Service Center, Partners in Care, St. Martin’s Ministries, St. Michaels Community Center. Talbot Mentors, Talbot Special Riders, Tilghman Area Youth Association, United Needs and Abilities and Upper Shore Aging.
