CNB, member of Shore Bancshares family of companies, welcomed Brownie Troop #487 to their Centreville Commerce Street headquarters and bank branch for an afternoon lesson on financial literacy.
The young girls listened to Heather Smith, Operation & Compliance Specialist, and Vicki Wood Dean, Customer Service Representative, as they demonstrated banking methods and shared tips about the power of saving. Afterwards, the Brownie Troop was treated to a behind the scenes tour of the main office. “If the girls remember one thing from their visit, we want them to know that it’s never too early to start saving for the future,” says Heather.
The saving lessons are borrowed from the educational initiative, Teach Children to Save, developed by the ABA Education Foundation. CNB is a strong proponent of the program using it to make our communities better for our future generations.
