On Saturday, June 1, the Healthy Tilghman 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk took place at Black Walnut Point Park in Tilghman MD. Proceeds benefited the Healthy Tilghman non-profit, which (in partnership with For All Seasons Behavioral Health and Rape Crisis Center in Easton and Tilghman United Methodist Church) provides mental health counseling, addiction prevention services, access to healthy food, and other services to the Bay Hundred region.
Over 100 runners and walkers participated in what was a beautiful morning on Tilghman Island. In addition, representatives from local health-related organizations were present to provide the community with important information about area services. These included For All Seasons, Healthy Tilghman, Comfort Keepers, and the Talbot Health Department (which also provided Narcan training for those interested).

5K Race Winners were:

Overall-
Jack Gonzalez of St Michaels, MD
Jennifer O’Keefe of Cary, NC

Masters Category:
Lance Watson of Cary, NC
Rebecca Froass of Silver Springs, MD

Michael Flaherty heads up Healthy Tilghman nonprofit and can be contacted at [email protected]
