The Women & Girls Fund Award has been established to recognize and honor a community member who has made outstanding professional or personal contributions towards understanding and addressing the needs of women and girls in the Mid-Shore region.
Diana Mautz of St. Michaels was chosen for her lifelong commitment to community service, innovation, and leadership. Of the many local charities she has assisted, she has given particular attention to the St. Michaels and Tilghman Volunteer Fire Departments. Known for her love of sailing, Mrs. Mautz developed successful junior sailing programs in Talbot County and held multiple positions as Program Director and Educator at the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum, the Tred Avon and Miles River Yacht Clubs, and served on the board of the US Junior Sailing Championships. Her junior sailing programs have helped many girls learn leadership and teamwork, while developing a respect for boating and the beautiful environment of the Chesapeake Bay. Please join us in honoring Diana Mautz and the other impressive organizations that will be receiving grants from the Women and Girls Fund in 2015.
The award will be presented at the Fund’s 13th Annual Grants Award Luncheon, Monday, April 27, 11:30am, at The Milestone in Easton. The event is open to the public. Tickets are $50 at www.womenandgirlsfund.org or Women & Girls Fund, 102 E. Dover St., 2nd floor, Easton, MD 21601. For further information, call 410-770-8347..
