The East End Gallery on Aurora has a new exhibit by Theresa Schram, “Coming to Life with Art.” Schram is Salisbury University graduate who teaches art at the Kent School.
In addition to infusing her classroom with creativity her Talbot county art studio is the incubation point for her paintings. She is a member of The Friday Morning Artist’s Group and the Talbot County Visual Art Center. Theresa’s pieces focus on bold images, intense colors and an interest in design. She has painted numerous murals for private clients, many of which have been described as “colorfully whimsical”.
East End Gallery has a tradition of showcasing furniture artisans, with past shows focusing on newly-crafted pieces. Along with Theresa’s work, the gallery will also host an exhibition of decorative furniture; old furniture that has been taken to a new level by artisan Terri Griffin, owner of the Pollie and Paper Studios. Ms. Griffin’s work has been displayed at the Dorchester Arts Center, as well as numerous craft shows. Her concept is based on creative recycling with found objects and showing us how even art can go green.
