In conjunction with this event, everyone is invited to celebrate with the Trippe Gallery! The month of October marks their 10th anniversary. There will be a special reception on October 6th from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Throughout October, the gallery will be featuring works based on a theme of “10” to commemorate the anniversary.
Troika Gallery will also open a new exhibit featuring the work of Bill Storck. This popular maritime artist has sold hundreds of paintings over the years, and his work just keeps getting better. Storck strives to integrate the water, the wind, the sky and sailing vessels into carefully balanced images. Meet the artists at a reception on Friday from 4-6 pm.
Children are welcome to join in the fun by enjoying the art of fire juggling by Cascading Carlos, who will be performing from 5-7 in Thompson park following the live pumpkin carving. Families are also welcome to bring the kiddos to the Academy Art museum for free pumpkin paintings, a free bicycle helmet safety check by Talbot Thrive, and the last outdoor movie night of the season, “A Nightmare Before Christmas.” All children’s activities are free.
In conjunction with the festival, retailers and restaurants will be hosting a variety of tasting events, sales, and live music performances. Visitors will be provided with a Pumpkin Trail map featuring all of the locations of the giant pumpkins! Maps will be available online at our festival site or picked up at the Easton Visitor’s Center, 11 S. Harrison Street, Easton MD.
