Fifth grade students from Easton Elementary recently visited Washington, DC and hand delivered letters of appreciation to Honor Flight veterans at the World War II Memorial.
Easton Elementary Principal James Redman commented,”The fifth grade Honor Flights Project is a fantastic hands-on learning experience for our students. It brings relevancy and meaning to our classroom lessons and is a field trip our kids will not forget.”
About Honor Flight: Honor Flight is a non-profit organization created solely to honor America’s veterans for all their sacrifices. They transport veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at the war memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.
