Local Color is a judged and juried art show, held in the Crystal Room at the Tidewater Inn. This show features some of the finest artwork by artists representing the Delmarva Penninsula. Local Color is sponsored by the Working Artists Forum (WAF) and is a primary component of the 10th annual Plein Air Easton Competition and Arts Festival.
The entry juror for Local Color this year was Nancy Tankersley, the 2013 second place winner of Plein Air Easton. The judge of Local Color 2014 will be Garin Baker, 2013 Plein Air Easton grand prize winner. Judging will take place on Friday, July 18th at 12:00 noon.
This year’s Local Color Show is dedicated to the memory of artist Marianne Hollis, a member of Working Artists Forum and the early visionary and chair for many years of Local Color. Marianne’s dedicated leadership was instrumental in elevating Local Color to the fine art show it is today and a special award of excellence will be bestowed in her honor.
