This program documents every step of the journey as we follow the creation of a major exhibition of paintings in Milan, Italy by the late American abstract artist, Morris Louis. From the special art handlers to the show’s curator placing each colorful masterpiece in the gallery, this is the story of a process that goes on every day in the world of art.
The film was produced by Robert Pierce Productions, Inc. and funded by a grant from The Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore. Robert Pierce is a graduate of the Motion Picture Department at U.C.L.A. and his film career has spanned five decades and over two hundred fifty titles. His documentaries and biographies cover a myriad of subjects including the Arts, the Environment, American History, Science and Religion, and have won dozens of national and international awards.
Bob retired his company and moved with his wife, Rita, to Easton to enjoy the friendly, relaxed life of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. We are privileged to have his talent available to our community.
Please join us at noon at the Easton Library Branch. Feel free to bring your lunch. Coffee and sweets will be provided by the Friends of the Talbot County Free Library. All programs are free and open to the public.
