On Thursday, June 21 Dr. Lorna N. Fitzgerald Morris will present a talk, “What Was the War of 1812 About?” at the Historical Society of Talbot County.
In this second war of independence known as “the Forgotten War”, this young nation prevailed against the superpower of the world, Great Britain! It inspired the national anthem, saw the rise of Andrew Jackson, and ushered in an “Era of Good Feelings.” Hear how it changed the course of history.
