House Concert with Claudia Schmidt & Chris Noyes – April 14

If you’re a fan of intimate house concerts and love to sing, consider attending a workshop and show with Claudia Schmidt and Chris Noyes in Royal Oak on Saturday, April 14.

Almost four decades as a touring professional have found Michigan native Claudia Schmidt traversing North America as well as Europe in venues ranging from intimate clubs to 4,000 seat theatres, and festival stages in front of 25,000 rapt listeners.She has recorded fourteen albums of mostly original songs, exploring folk, blues, and jazz idioms
featuring her acclaimed 12-string guitar and mountain dulcimer playing.

JOY OF SINGING WORKSHOP
Participants will learn how to think about their voice as a blank canvas,and learn, through breathing and stretching and visualizing, how to bring color to it in a new way.Playful but very useful for any kind of singing. We’ll share some songs as well!

Suggested donation – Please pay what you can – Call or email to discuss options.
Workshop: $25 adv/$30 after 4-11 (includes afternoon tea)
Concert: $25 adv/$30 after 4-11 (incl. drinks & hors d’oeuvres)
$40 adv/$50 after 4-11–Workshop & Concert
