Maryland Capital Enterprises and the Small Business and Technology Development Center at Salisbury University offer “How to Obtain a Maryland Home Improvement Contractor’s License (MHIC),” a small business licensing course 10-noon Tuesday, March 26 at the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Business Center, 144 E. Main St.
This course, run by Alvin White of the Maryland Department of Labor and Licensing Home Improvement Commission teaches participants how to obtain a Maryland Home Improvement Contractor’s License (MHIC). Topics include Maryland licensing requirements, how to prepare for the licensing exam and the application process. The course is open to building contractors, individuals desiring to start a home improvement or landscaping business, those presently working within a construction trade field and all other interested persons.
The course fee is $20. Pre-registration is required and may be completed online through MCE atwww.marylandcapital.org/
