Get ready to get your funk on when Bootsy Collins, one of the all-time great funk and R&B bassists, comes to town and tears the roof off the Avalon!
The legendary boogiemaster’s innovative bass lines laid the groundwork for the best known floor-shaking tunes of both James Brown and Parliament/Funkadelic in the ’60s and ’70s. As a solo act, he’s performed with everyone from Snoop Dogg and Fatboy Slim to Hank Williams, Jr. and Buckethead.
Although you can groove to this Rock-And-Roll Hall of Famer’s many classic albums, Bootsy’s a one-of-a-kind performer that you’ll want to experience live and in person. As one critic recently describes his act, “With his flashy costumes, witty banter, and star-shaped sunglasses and guitar, often lost in the mix is the fact that he’s a great bass player: one of funk’s best. And his unique vocals and thunderous playing laid the foundation for quite the party…”
The Avalon’s dance floor is going to be open, so be ready to party when Bootsy comes to Easton!
