The upcoming election for Talbot County Sheriff (June 24th) will without question be a crucial one.
Talbot County tragically has seen in the last several years an increase in the use of heroin and cocaine by teenagers and young adults. As founder/director of Life Counseling Center with offices in Easton, Salisbury, MD, Dover, DE and Milton, DE, we are seeing the use of these type drugs literally rip families apart, not to mention the debilitating mental, physical and social effects they have on the users. Electing Joe Gamble as Sheriff with his many years as a Maryland State Trooper and his expertise as an undercover narcotics officer as well as supervisor of local drug task forces is a hands down winning combination for Talbot County’s drug issues. Also tack on the fact that Joe Gamble was federally deputized by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the FBI. This action led to the dismantling of violent drug trafficking organizations in NY and NC that were responsible for murders and drug trafficking in our state of Maryland. This kind of effective proven experience and these kind of impressive credentials is the needed law enforcement ingredient that will lower our concerning drug problems here in Talbot County!
Talbot County currently has NO full-time drug investigators and does NOT supply manpower to the State funded Talbot County Narcotics Task Force. This is a big problem and Joe Gamble has vowed to allocate Sheriff’s Office time and personnel to the Drug Task Force if he’s elected Sheriff. This alone is a huge plus for our county in terms of decreased drug trafficking and lower drug related crimes.
I enthusiastically fully endorse Joe Gamble for our next Sheriff of Talbot County. He’s without question our most experienced and best choice for our worse problem.
